Principal's Message

Greetings Neuwoehner Students and Families!

February is a busy month in our school community. We are looking forward to celebrating friendship during our Valentine’s Day Dance (during the school day) and with candygrams on February 14. We are also excited to welcome The Black Rep for a theater performance for all students. Students are continuing to adapt to new second semester changes and we are excited to share their progress with you.

Neuwoehner is exceptionally excited to share with you that we have been named a State School of Character. Across the nation, only 87 schools were identified as meeting the programming and community expectations to receive this recognition. Later this school year we take part in the process to potentially be again named a National School of Character. One component of this process is having families share stories or even join us during our interview process. If you are interested in sharing how Neuwoehner and character education have had a positive impact with your student and/or family, please reach out!

 

FACE Family Academy

Special School District's FACE (Family and Community Engagement) is hosting a district-wide Family Academy on Saturday, Feb. 24. This is taking place here at Neuwoehner. Please check out the information included in the monthly newsletter to RSVP for this event.

 

No School Feb. 16 and 19

As a reminder, there is no school on Friday, Feb. 16 for staff professional development and Monday, Feb. 19 in observance of President’s Day. During our staff professional development day we are going to begin revisiting Neuwoehner’s mission and vision. We would also love your input. If you have a moment to share two words or short phrases that you would use to describe Neuwoehner, please use this form to share them. Thank you!
